Agreed! I recently decided to rent to test the medium format waters and it's been a great experience. I'm lucky to have a local pro camera shop with a pretty extensive selection of MF gear. It's been liberating. As I come to grips with the promise and limitations of various MF cameras by using them, my perspective has moved from the desires of GAS into a more critical appraisal of my needs.

No, I have several bags, but they mostly sit unused. I tend to keep lenses on cameras, not doing much switching. Most days I have a little cordura zippered case on my belt which is just big enough for a Weston Master V with Invercone. I have another bigger cordura case with strap that can hold an 85 or 90mm lens and maybe six rolls of film. I usually carry the Bessa L with the 15, an M2 or 3 with a 21 S.A., another with either the 85/2 Nikkor or 90/2.8 Elmarit, and an M2 with a 35/2 Summicron. I rarely carry a 135 or longer lens. Mostly the cameras are just on straps, not inside any bag. I also carry film in my pockets. On occasion I bring my original mid-1970's vintage tan canvas Leitz shoulder bag.

Going back to the original post by Back Alley. You take good photographs. I have never paid any attention to what camera you have used but the out put is very good. Whatever decision you make will be the right one.

While most of my editing over the past two years has been due to lack of work, it feels good. I used to have way too many cameras, doubles of most everything in one way or another, way too much glass. I've got one RF system and a P&S. My SLRs have grown, but only to allow my sons to shoot. Much less money to build a great three lens system.
I take a different approach to editing, reading, thinking and buying only if it really fits/replaces. I have a 35/2.5 CV CS going to another RFFer in the AM as I have a 35/1.8 Nikkor I'm very happy with. If the new 20/3.5 CV performs the way I expect it to I will be selling my 28/2.8 AIS. I try not to pull the trigger on stuff unless I really think it will improve what I'm doing.

I just did that and was surprised to notice 2 people I recognized in the first 5 pages! Mr and Mrs Khoo, they are very regular, and VERY friendly customers at the camera shop I work at in the west end.

and maybe if I'm lucky, we'll bump into each other, drop cameras, and I'll "accidentally" walk off with your Ikon, while you walk off with whatever junk I was carrying! 🙂
