I'd never heard of this camera before last weekend. I saw it at a camera market and the guy wanted $5 for it, so i rescued it.
The EF isnt exactly the most attractive of the Pen series. It's actually really weird. They were apparently the last model released by Olympus, at a time when the popularity of half frames was dropping pretty quickly.
A selenium metered half frame camera, with a flash powered by a AA battery made in the 80's is a strange combination, but it's begun to grow on me.. Even its "unusual" looks.
I'm still pretty new to cameras, but the little EF seems pretty sharp and meters well.
Below is a quick shot of it (for those like me, who had never seen one), and some fun i had with the camera during the week. I was trying out diptychs for the first time. As you can tell, some worked better than others.
Anyway, just thought i'd share my experience with this forgotten Pen model.
