Mike, the screw heads look a bit larger than on the other camera, but there was nothing on the bill about that.
Wow, is that all?!?!?! I had figured that getting a single Scherer-rehabbed IIa with lens would wind up well into four figures, and concluded that I'd never be able to afford it. I may have to start rethinking my future gear-acquisition plans...
Well my II was referb'd by Mr S back in Jan 2014 and although I paid way less than $300 for the beat-up, non-working camera and lens (the F2 collapsible) the work was almost $600. Mind you,it was well worth it; I didn't recognize it when it came back. Works like a dream and so, so quiet.
It's been a couple of years since I was put on his list and I have not yet received the call to send it in.I know of someone who has been waiting 2 years, and he's thinking that it will still take another year to get his camera back.
