The perfect lens kit?

So im pondering over the possibilities of different lenses i could get for my r-d1.

im thinking that obviously a 28/35/50 is best just because of the frame lines.

i have a 35 summicron asph, and i want desperately to get a 50mm, and then a 28, and eventually a 12.

which lenses would you guys reccommend? are the 28 ultron, and 50 nokton good matches for this body?

Short answer about the CV lenses you mentioned...28 Ultron and 50 Nokton are both excellent choices for the R-D1.

What about the tri-elmar? That way you'd never have to change lenses on your R-D1... imagine, no sensor dust, compact package of just 1 camera and 1 lens, every photog's dream.

as much as i would absolutely love to have the tri-elmar, i simply cannot afford it. also, i would like to be able to shoot in very very low light with a very very fast lens ( but maybe someday ill get my hands on one and just leave it there forever haha! )

I'm happy with the 28 Ultron thus far (I've only had it a month or two). No complaints, except for the paint rubbing off, but I can live with that.

i can live with that too. im concerned with image quality, if my camera develops battle scars i just know i use it a lot 🙂

I have the 50 ultron and find it a bit too tight with the R-D1's crop factor thrown in. The combination is capable of extremely nice images but the resultant focal length is not for me.

I had the 28 Ultron for a bit and find that a nicer match to the R-D1, image quality is similar to that of the 50 Ultron.

The lens which finds itself on the R-D1 most of the time would be the 15/4.5. That's purely because of my shooting style, well, and also because it's an excellent performer all round. Granted it's not very fast but I've had pretty good results with it with the iso bumped up to 800, occasionally 1600. You might want to consider the 21/4, another one of my favorites.

If you don´t have problems with low light, try the tri-elmar
I have one and for me is perfect (I am shooting outdoors)
