Once there was a 10,000 hour rule. Do anything for that amount of time and you may be considered to be able enough to be deemed a professional, good even. This has now been supplanted with the 10,000 dollar rule. Buy gear for that amount, and you are immediately identified as a pro, by all others than those that have clue that is.

They're both probably about equally valid, in that neither bears the slightest relationship to reality. In an age of digital photography, so easy to have images..lots.
I see few good photos.When i do, they stand out.
Most strangely are not from digital but film.Maybe my taste?
I simply look. Here on RFF a few really stand out.
