I just finished a great experience in the theatre, all shot on the M9.

Fantastic captures! Love no.2.

PS. Just looked at the full post. Brilliant shots. The M9 is very capable in your hands and you have captured the essence of the amateur theatre.

Wow. I love the first shot too. Pretty good for yesterday's camera, not. Just noticed that at least one of that flickr set is an M9 JPEG. Jager on here reckons, and I agree from direct experience, that those jpegs sometimes excel, and occasionally provide what cannot be got from the RAW file. Heresy I know.

Thanks Richard, yes there's life in the old dog yet....:)

Thats interesting for sure. I've neglected the .jpegs from this camera until fairly recently but not anymore. Shooting Raw + jpeg in B&W for the last part of this little project and I was delighted with the results and the time saved.....

I really love your works, last time was the East Cape photo set, and now this theatre set is great too, thank you for sharing these amazing pictures!

Wow, these are superb!!! This makes me want to get my Sonnar optimized for f1.5 and just be done with it. Getting a 50mm Summilux is not on the cards yet, but reoptimizing the Sonnar should do well for me in the meantime.

I just love your perspectives and composition. Sure, you had good subject matter, but your willingness to get close and into low angles really makes for wonderful images. If only my photography looked this good! Thank you for the inspiration.

Thanks for the kind words, you should get the Sonnar optimized, I have a Jupiter 3 that works wonderfully on my M9.

Thanks all, the first one is probably a favorite of mine, taken in the rehearsals I would say its more in line with what I would usually do. Obviously the others are very staged which is the way with theatre programs, still lots of fun to do something so different thought.

Cheers

Jason

Congratulations. But your The Producers series with the M9 is the only thing that has properly comforted me over not being in line for the Monochrom any time soon.
