Denis, I ordered the 1st copy, but being in Canada, I'll probably be the LAST person to receive one ... I can barely wait to see it in print.

I ordered one book to be delivered by USPS Priority mail and then 4 more with their free shipping deal. I am thinking that best case will have the books printed late this week or weekend and in my hand middle of next.

I have started to notify friends and family. We shall see who wants to share my pride by buying a copy.

I've put an announcement on the photo.net Photo Books forum about this great little book, if you guys don't mind...🙂

I started a thread on the Leica forum yesterday (supported later by Francisco 🙂 ) and so far at least one member over there has admitted to buying the book... 😉 I don't think it does any harm to spread the word about the book to the community. Hopefully those who buy will comment on the book in their own forums.

Actually I have to say I wasn't going to buy one - I mean, I've seen all these photos before, right? But the "preview" convinced me that I need a more "permanent" record of them. The preview contains two photos, and both favorites of mine by two of my favorite photographers here on RFF, plus text by themselves.

Kinda kicking myself for being on vacation the week the project was announced and not getting on the original list of 25. Hope there's a volume 2 one day, I should submit Asha and Her Bestest Girl Salah, since it is the 15th most viewed photo and I'm sure she'll get a kick out of seening herself in a book.

Vladhed, that is one of my favorite photos here. Put that negative someplace safe so that you know where it is when it has to be scanned for submission.

Once we get the actual book in our hands we will be able to see what worked, and what didn't.

There can't be a cookie cutter approach, but I am sure book 2 will be easier and quicker to put together.

I just checked the status of our sales.

64 books sold, we are #102 on the Lulu best sellers list!!!

Our book is also now listed on the Lulu front page in their list of Recent Titles.

Still pretty cool.
