What's in a name?
These are photographs of streets. And pretty ones for sure.
Street photography refers more to photographs of people in the streets.
Search on flickr for street photography and you'll get the idea.

To me, they're photos of streets, rather than "street photography". The term (which has no clear definition, IMO) to me implies some sort of human interaction or activity, captured in a man-made, usually urban, environment.

That said, I like these - a couple actually bring Atget to mind.

Streetscapes sounds a good option to me!
I was looking for the sense of emptiness of deserted streets, the opposite from street scenes with people.

Yes!
Let's stop associating street photography with pictures of ppl walking on a street.

Street photography to me is everything will tell our grandsons how we were living in our cities.

So urban landscapes are not street photography by any mean?

Let me remind you a story about definitions:

The metre or meter (symbol: m) is the fundamental unit of length in the International System of Units (the SI). It was originally defined so that the land distance between Earth's poles and Equator would be exactly 10,000,000 metres; today, the way it is defined means the speed of light is exactly 299,792,458 metres per second in a vacuum.

I mean we changed what the fundamental unit of length is, how can we have a perfect definition of "street photography" ? 😀

Yes, a little bit, I can't deny, :angel:but my question was what to call my photos.
"Street photography" is already widely accepted as a style, I don't want to change or callenge that (like "street wear", etc).
I was looking for a suitable name toclassify my photos. "Streetscapes" and "urban landscapes" seem fine to me.

I agree with an earlier post by Roberto. For me the point is to represent the fluidity of urban life; the things, the landscape and the people all interacting with each other to make up a city environment. I think that what is important is what the viewer learns, senses, embraces and comes to know as a result of seeing a particular scene/object/person/persons through the sensibility of a particular photographer at a particular time and place.

Just the way I use the term to focus my work.
