There is something about the little girl rolling the dough out that I really like.
Gary
She is very cute and her parents own a small gallery that supports various arts from up and comers! My friend Adrian had a successful exhibition there about a year or so ago.

The first pic is actually DP3M ... I think this thread should probably be re-titled to include images from the other two Merrils and the SD1M if that's ok with the OP?
I think that's a fine idea. It would be good to have a single thread dedicated to monochrome photos from all versions of the Merrill Foveon sensor.
Maybe a new title could be something like this:
"The Sigma Foveon M: pls share your monochrome images"

Keith,
I don't own a Sigma, but am told the focus is slow, and high ISO shots not-so-good, both of which would be problems in low light. Despite that, your pictures look great. How do you overcome those 2 issues ?

Hi Subhash,
Focus is reasonable IMO ... on about a par with the original X100 and fine for me because of my somewhat premeditated style of shooting.
As for high ISO ... 1600 is fine in monochrom provided you process the files in SPP prioritising the blue channel. Somewhat noisy in colour though and virtually unusable at 3200.

I don't remember the last time I took a colour shot (or reviewed one in colour) Gary and have zero desire to do so!
The way the foveon sensor renders black and white is out of this world IMO and I'm so happy with these two Merrills that I'd wag my tail ... if I was a dog!

They look nice, however not as nice as this Merril sounds. This one sends shivers down my spine... :

Messing around with the grain sliders in SPP ... not bad IMO.
