This was designed specifically for the Quattro line of cameras. I wonder if it will fit at all on a Merrill given that it looks like a lot depends on how the tripod mount socket is centered on the Merrill vs the Quattro.

Forgot to mention..given the advent of this item... One wonders if Sigma currently does not have the horsepower in their digital tech to support a dual pipeline (evf and LCD) for viewing and the sd card write path...given that the Quattro already is suppose to have their fastest digital processing circuits to date. The af speed is twice as fast as the Merrill cameras. The jpg engine is superior and the sd card write speed is much better. But there was not enough processing head room to be able to support an evf. Which also makes me wonder if the evf firmware driver eats up more horsepower then an LCD one??? I personally would be ok w/ a switch like the one on the Ricoh gxr body that went evf or LCD only if it was just an issue of supporting both at the same time.
