So you think the D700 represents an upgrade treadmill which an MP doesn't? Hello!! Wake up and smell the coffee!!!
You haven't begun to talk about Leica lenses yet. It may start with an inquiry about, oh let's say a 50mm Summicron, which you then think better to have better low light performance and you start asking about the Summilux which moves on to the asph and eventually (possibly as little as two days in your case) you might end up convinced that you absolutely must have a Noctilux!!!

Okay, okay, enough already. I have quietly been calculating if I can get enough for my children's kidneys on the bay to pay for a 35 cron asph and a 50 lux asph. :bang::bang:
I am a little worried that I appear from this thread to be an impulse buyer of overpriced gear, whereas nothing could be further from the truth... really... honest. Anyway, as far as somewhat impulsive buys go, this has been the best one in a long time. I have not had as much fun in ages.
