I have not used my Super Takumar 35mm f/3.5 enough. When I saw this rare image made with it I was reminded of how sharp it is. FP4 Plus in ID-11 1 + 3 loaded in a Zeiss Ikon Icarex 35S TM.

SMC Pentax 35/3.5 lens is the later PK-mount bayonet version of the M42 screwmount Takumar.

For the most part, I like the Takumar 28-80 zoom. It covers most of whatever I want to shoot and it's reasonably compact. However, when zoomed out wide it does show some barrel distortion, like an almost-fish-eye.
This particular one was shot on the Rollei Digibase film, a C41 film without that amber mask.

I received one of these lenses with a body I bought. I never used it but recently gave it to my grandson with my Pentax K10d. He is going nuts with it.

Yes it is. I have a S-M-C version that I bought last June for a whopping $30.

In 2010, I paid $70 US for one in excellent condition (shipping included).
I use it when I do not wish to put my Zeiss 28mm f/2 Distagon in jeopardy.

Nice shot with your 28mm f3.5 SMC Takumar, I have the Super-Takumar version and love it. I've loved it since 1970 when I paid $60 new.
I have the 28mm f/3.5 SMC Takumar, bought new for $158.43 on Jan 8 1972. Four days later it went back to Honeywell for warranty repair of a diaphragm defect, wouldn't open all the way to f/3.5.
Here's what the Pentax blurb said about this lens:
"A new super-wide angle lens of 7 elements, designed and produced to meet the most exacting of the professional requirements, this is the lens of professionals and advanced amateurs need to shoot more artistic photographs. Equipped with full automatic diaphragm; ideal for architecture, fast action, and artistic photography."
I also have the 28mm f/2 SMCP-M but it's bayonet mount, and not a Takumar. In addition for unknown reasons I later bought the Zeiss 28mm f/2 Distagon T* ZK, also bayonet mount and large, weighs a ton... 530g!
