The best camera is one that still works!
So how did we go from the Bessa III to childish interstate rivalry ... pointless because everyone knows that Queensland is the best state.
Since Joh moved on at least!

Anyway ... real men sort this sort of argument out on the sporting field!

Why are all the other States and Territories always at the bottom of a Syd-eny-sider's list?
So yeah- while we are waiting for the great Bessa III travelling show to begin let's go kick a pumpkin scone around a rugby field to sort out the real men from the point and shooters. After which I feel like one or two of those tasty SA beers.
Yeah Ok it is a bit silly, but what else do us Aussies do while we are waiting for something this exciting to start? Rib each other with spurious indefensible parochial accusations of course.
Back on topic, I'm interested in what other emulsions people will try in the Bessa III.
I've got my one and only roll of Fuji Fortia (not availalble in Australia) that I'm keeping aside in case I make the cut. It was very kindly given to me in a recent RFF GA645i purchase (thanks Brian).

Yay ... I'm number five!
I have about eight rolls of Adox 100 CHS Art just waiting.

This is going to be REALLY hard! What am I going to do with the Yachicamat 124G and the Rolleiflex E2 2.8 Planar?
I might have to sell them and one of the Leica IIIf's to finance it. And the Vitessa L.
Agony.

It's a bit difficult I agree ... I swore to myself that there was no way I was going to get one of these at the asking price but I have this suspicion that after a week or two with the camera it's going to be very hard to let it go.
The thing I really like is the abillity to switch between 6x6 and 6x7 ... see it as two cameras for the price of one and it all becomes a little easier!

Since the project will be over before my application for legal citizenship Down Under is through, I'd like to ask you guys to post some shots of and with the 667 here when you get it!
Might also be fun to see its condition throughout the project, I wonder what it will look like after a year...?

You guys must be dreaming if you think CQ would anything of the sort.

As I said Bill it couldn't really be considered in the US because of the size of the market ... imagine the amount of people Stephen would have apply if he offered the same type of deal!

Sounds like camera sellers are taking cues from Crack dealers, now.
"Hey, little boy, just try it once. What could that hurt?"

Seems like they will book all weeks and have it paid for in a year. Perhaps they should raffle it off to the participants at the end.
It's a good deal and good marketing all around and I'm jealous of the opportunity.

At the end of the project the camera (or what's left of it
Great idea IMO.

Lots of credit to Mainline Photo though. Good for them.

I have 30-ish rolls of Fortia-SP in the fridge, no doubt I'll try some of that. The only other 120 film I have is Adox 25. (similar film tastes to yourself and Keith?)
I really wish they still made (and developed) kodachrome in 120...
I don't know where I am on the list, but I've received a confirmation from Scott so now we wait and see!!!

If the camera is still in good shape at the end of it's quest, I think I'd definitely be up for making an offer on it!

I'm Mainlinin' too i.e. on the list!
I have only just entered the 120 world, and have been picking up some recently (and not so recently) expired film while I got the hang of it. I have some TMAX 100, Porta 400VC, Fuji 160NPC ,Fuji NPH 400 and Konica Pro 160.
I will definitely use some Reala and Provia 100F if I can find fresh emulsion - shouldn't be too hard. If I'm lucky I'll have the camera when I'm in Tasmainia on the Freycinet Peninsular/ Bay of Fires - stunnning landscapes. This is mostly what I'd envisage using this kind of camera for. Not everyone's choice I know, but I like the portability vs image quality equation.

I refuse to join in as I know myself too well. After two weeks I would be signing up to buy one knowing that life would not be worth living without it. It is the same reason why I have not tried heroin.
More power to Mainline (ironic name given the drug dealer analogies) for such a good idea.
BTW as Adelaide is the sicko murder capital of the country it looks like you did not need to import convicts.

Please accept my unreserved apology for the offense I have caused you and anyone else from Adelaide. My comments were insensitive and inaccurate.

Indeed!
I know I am on the 'list' but others such as Keith seem to know their 'position' on said list.
- Can one suffer gas/'bfa' for their position in the list?
- Should one admit to such thoughts on a public forum?
- Will this lead to a minty TLR or two ending up in the classifieds as one tries to justify the $3k+ price?
