Initially that there was nothing happening on the street and now that what is posted here is more concerned with camera collecting and lens testing.
I to would like to see the posts in this thread that are concerned with gear. So far I think it has been a very image driven thread clearly showing the streets are alive and maybe even more important today to be turning the camera to the streets.
My views are that the street is one area that really exploits the one thing that still photography does best. Freezes a moment in time. No other art form does it the same way photography does it. I think Meyerowitz says it best in this very short trailer and it's clearly the reason I love it so much:
