Spyro ,
Excellent image
It is interesting how we all interpret photographs differently .... When I first saw this image the impact was instantaneous ... First thing that came to mind was the "Beatles" ...
The accumulative visual library that has filled my mind over the years recognized a few visual cues ... The city back drop and the boys in the suits strutting down the street were not enough on their own to trigger this .. Took a minute to figure out why I was making this connection... The small blurred out " BOTTLE " sign in the background . the font and the look of the letters perhaps ...... so for me this is a cool photograph .
The insignificant sign makes this image ...
Here is the image I may have seen before

With Peter's image above his explanation is completely different from what I saw before reading his description .... the guy in the middle is thinking "will you please shut the **** up " about the guy talking .. the one in the back has seen this before and is ready to step in and tell his friend to chill ; ).....

Shiro, I know what you mean, another person who saw the photo said "very good, it really captures the entitlement". I didnt know what he meant at first, but then I realised, these are private school kids... Giving different things to look at and think about to different people from various backgrounds, is, for me, an important element of a successful photo. Not that I was thinking of anything like that when I pulled the trigger, in fact I wasnt thinking of anything at all, the whole scene happened in a split second. Photography gods are kind sometimes
With your photo, it sucked me in in 3 stages
First was the mouth-watering light and droplets, that's what caught my eye and made me stay and look. Then I started noticing the details, the little flag on the antenna, the oldshchool watch and haircut, the practical car, the idle look. And before I know it, I started making up stories about the person, the place and the history that I had no business making
Visual elements making you think about things, what more to ask from a photo?

I really like the expressions here, and the context seems more like a "termination" than "commencement" ceremony!
