Within the past few months/year I've accumulated a lot of pageviews to my blog. About 8000 since I bought and blogged my first rangefinder shots last march/april/may??

As of a few moments ago it totals 8462 views, a little under 200 of them since sunday morning.

So bets are on... think I'll reach 10,000 by the end of next week? What are the odds?

Nah Pherdi, if I was to request blog views, I would ask outright. I was simply wondering how many people think I'll get a thousand views in a little over a week.

Oh, and if I REALLY wanted views, I'd post this in critique/general and ask for comments :)

blog - web-log, noun

An online, usually public, diary where people share day-to-day experiences. In the case of my photo-blog, somwhere to show off the most recent photographic endeavors :)

Yea, if you get some of those girls you have been shooting, to pose nude I guarentee you would probably reach 10,000 by the weekend.:D I think you'll reach it any way. You got a good photoblog & I enjoy it.

Greg

Thanks... and the nudes aren't actually on the blog. If you wanted to see them you should have pm'd me :D

No!...I didn't even know you had any nudes... I was simply making a joke....Well...No...Not really. You would get your 10,000.:D

I think it's great to have one's own website to share photos and exchange comments. But when it's a "blog" that's a diary, and I don't read other people's diaries. I guess I'm old-fashioned, as I thought diaries were private writings... though sometimes published posthumously! :)

Nudes of Rich? Not yet.... :D :D

I understand the thought that diaries are private things, I guess that's why a 'blog' is entirely standalone. It's an RSS-Streaming web page that does what you want it to.

a blog is not really a diary. It's more like a communication channel of someone's ideas to people who might be interested but too distant to meet for a drink. That's how I see (and use) it.

EDIT: and a bit of showing-off in the non-negative sense of the word (if there's such a thing). :D

Doug... sometimes i have the feeling that "private"diaries (the old-fashioned, paper ones) are written by people who wish to share those details about their life but are too afraid to do it openly so they write it down...in the hope someone will äccidentally"find it and look into and read and comment

Yea, I admit it's there to show off. I don't know any other way I can easily show anyone in the world 20 new photo's a week without paying a penny, and do it all in my own leisure time.

As for private diaries, I stopped writing mine when I found I had little interesting to write about, and no-one was interested in reading it :D :D

Ash, Proust had plenty to say about a cup of tea and his frickin madelaines, it is often not what you have to say, but how you say it.

I liked the photos and was about to leave a comment to help towards the milestone. But then found I needed to sign up so I went away.

Yea the only problem with a Myspace blog is that you need to be a myspace member to commnet. That'll be rectified when I transfer it all over to blogspot or my website when it is online.
