The lens is great! but forget about it on the M-8. Well I don't really mean not using it on the M-8, certainly you can, but if you wan't to have a blast with this lense and incredible bright finder, you should get an L body for it. Less than $100 for a good used bessa L is the perfect setup for this lense and a whole lot of fun too.

Erm, isn't that the LH-2 hood, for the 50/2.5 and 35/2.5 lenses? Here is what it looks like on my M2 with the Voigtlander LH-1 lens hood for it:

That's what I was thinking, too.

The LH-2 fits on the 25P? I know with the M8 crop the 25mm = 33.25mm and that the LH-2 is for 35mm lenses. Would there be any vignetting?

ertigan: I ordered the same hood but the one that came wasn't the same as the one they have in the picture - it's a lot deeper. If the same thing happens with you rest assured that it works fine (ie it's the same one I was talking about before).

Same hood meaning heavystar hood or CV hood? Please clarify.

The Heavystar one that I received was not the same as in your (and my) ebay picture but it fits and works perfectly on top of the standard hood and Leica UV/IR filter. Of course, you might get one that is the same as the one in the picture...

Push comes to shove I will only be out $10 if the Heavystar hood doesn't pan out. I have to see about ordering my 25P today.
UPDATE: Delays, delays. Have to finish a job for a client then I can order. Ah well.
