Domke's mostly, with the odd lowepro, tamrac, and billingham thrown in.

That said, it DOES matter sometimes, and I'm thinking I'll have to get another small black bag for certain occasions.

Because the closet full I have now just isn't enough apparently...

I wanted different colors for my bags so that I could store different types of cameras in them. For instance, a blue with tan trimmings for medium format and what not...

But the choices available foiled my project. However, I tend to go with dark colors (blue or green) except for the Domke FX5B in tan that I got for a trip to Europe. Don't ask me why... I just liked the color (I have another one, in black, purchased from Ralph, aka Rover, some time ago).

So... all my bags tend to be dark (green, blue, black...).

All Domke (so far), all "Sand" aka tan. I don't like dark bags because during hot seasons they are more of a heat sink. I would, however consider green/olive as long as it wasn't too dark. No black, never, ever.

I don't much care about the color of the outside but strongly prefer light--yellow/white--colored fabric on the inside. Makes finding stuff much easier for me!

what colour(s) is/are your camera bags and does it make a difference to you?

mine are all black.

I recently bought a Tenba Messenger for laptop and camera. It is orange. The fact that my first Tenba 30 years ago was orange, and that the new orange bag was $30 less than the black one helped.

The rest are black.

Not too fond of the Tenba, though- I can't stand nylon...

I have a couple of sand-colored Domke's, but these days, I use them for lens storage only.

The bags I do use are black. Regardless of color, any new bag I purchase MUST have some kind of rain cover. These days, I look at the Thinktank Photo line of bags first before considering anything else.

If I was buying a Domke I'd probably get sand or brown, maybe olive.

For my Domke bags, I have an olive F-6 and olive F-10; waxwear F-6; blue F-803; Gray F-2; Sand F-1x and F-5xb; black f'5xb. I've gotten partial to the olive and waxwear colors.

I didn't used to like black, but now I like my black Tamrac system 8, and my large Tenba bag (and the black F-5Xb). And I have the gray Tamrac system 10, and it's fine.

What I like about the gray and black bags is they blend in with the car interior, making them less visible through the window.

My favorites are three decades-old bags colored grey close enough to 18% to be useful for metering. Most new bags seem to be colored black, which looks cool but really isn't -- they heat up fast on a warm summer day.

My original 20-odd year old Tenba 995 is a grey-green colour by choice, when purchased new, and my second, (purchased used for fifteen dollars a few years ago) is black.
They're such good bags, that I would have grabbed the second one even if it had been fluorescent pink.
