this is not an attempt to...

interesting timing...ups just dropped off a used but new looking BLACK safrotto clone of the domke 803 bag!!
nice bag, a little bit bigger than the 803 itself...

I have canvas Domke satchel as my main camera bag and a green shotgun cartridge bag for one camera and lens normal use

Most of mine are black (and many different brands), but I've got a couple of greys, three green ones, two orange, and one in screaming yellow for my underwater cam. Wish I still had my original F2 Domke in dark blue though.

Five lowepro, four black and one green. Three Billingham all tan canvas and leather. One Crumpler, black and orange.

My main camera bag is an "Army" green Timbuk2 small messenger with the Snoop camera insert. I carry this one nearly every day.

These days when I go out with the family, its a gray Timbuk2 Stork diaper bag (Which is a variation on their medium messenger). It qualifies as a camera bag in my mind, simply because I've put my MP and an extra roll of film into it. :)

I'm using a Black Label Bags Oskar One Day II... it's black. It's a very nice bag. Expemsive, but works the way I expect.

One black, one sage, one khaki (with pink fuzzy interior). Choice depends on the particular street photography disguise I'm wearing. :p

Doesn't matter that much . I'm using my 2nd bag now , a black Domke F2 , the only bag I ever liked . I bought the same in tan 20 + years ago and it 's really worn out , travelled a lot with it . If I go back to SE-Asia , I will look for a tan F2 again , because of the heat .

Olive tan, Olive Green, Black, Dark brown, and Blue.
My Favorite is an Olive Green Tree Tap Rubber and Canvas Bag.
My most useful is easily the Slate Blue Shibata! :)

When considering a bag, if it's black I tend to move on. If it's black on the outside but a brighter color on the inside, I might consider it. I prefer the Domke tan in canvas bags and brown in leather bags. These are important decisions to make that have great impact on the quality of my photography.......

I had a very nice leather bag lots of years ago and it was stolen along with a couple of cameras. I learned my lesson and went to a Army Surplus store (those stores were around in the mid 1960's) and bought a used Army medic's bag that was a very heavy stiff canvas bag that was pretty ugly and a little discolored. I added a little soft foam for padding and it was the perfect bag carrying around my new Nikon F and a couple of lenses. Of course it was OD in color and I don't think anyone ever paid attention to that bag which was exactly what I was hoping for.

Now all of my bags are Domke and they are tan, dark olive and black. - jim

All are black except for a small Lowepro toploading holster, which is a sort of forest green.

It's not that I'm opposed to colored bags, it's just that the ones I use come in an extremely limited range (one of which is quite unspeakable)

Almost all of them are black.

I've found the lowepro passport sling almost perfect for my street stuff, (and my first one was black). After looking at the newer versions to see if they'd solved the one problem I have with it I thought "wait a minute, ALL camera bags are black, this probably says "camera bag"

I'm sure I was overthinking things, but I ended up buying a second one in the "mica" colourway which is a grey/greenish colour, which may or may not look marginally less like a camera bag.
