i like the image but…maybe because it's a primary colour...

As a thumbnail, or similar small image, it is compelling because of its colour, contrast, and graphic quality.

There was a recent thread on top views on flickr amongst forum members, it was very diverse, discounting the camera shots 😀

Nice shot, I think that wrought iron work lifts it a lot, if you take that out a good deal of interest goes, still good but that features lifts it fro merely good as does having that just off centre.

I think it's a nice, clean shot. To make it great you need a human figure in the frame. If you just had somebody peeking from behind the curtains...

We now count views on all photos that appear in your browser viewport on the Signed-in Homepage Activity Feed, the Photostream page, Set pages, and Search Result pages (these pages, along with the photo page, which is already counting views, represent about 80% of the page views on the site). For the Justified pages on that list, we may count photos slightly before they come into view. We hope this explains the increase in views over the past couple of weeks.
