Cheers!

I stumbled on a chance to buy a Ricoh Super Shot so I googled a bit on it, and havent found many info on the camera.
A lot of this camera specs are similar to the canonet ql17, and I was wondering if any of RFF members has one, and if so, if could talk a bit about the camera.

Is the lens good? How about the shutter and mechanics ? :)

Is it worth to buy one (if you got a canonet ql17 and a oly 35RC like me)

Thanks for any answer in advance :)

I came across this post when i first joined this forum.
it's a shame that there's zero reply, but it is fully understandable that the majority here want "c,ontrol, control, control" (or "Leica M, Leica M, Leica M") over their equipments so this type of "automatic-everything" rangefinder received low viewings.

i bought mine years ago. it is a pleasure to use.
once you get over the battery thing--just a piece of cake, with a spring and a 1.5V 625 button--it is worry-free to use.

the finder is big and the 43mm F1.7 lens is heavenly for lowlight condition-- it's a...i know it's clichés to coin this term--"poorman's classica natura"!

and it had the famous Ricoh spring-load (as in its cult hit Auto Half)!

Nearly six years waiting for a reply to a post ... that has to be some sort of record! :D

Good on you pinkarmy. :)

I received a Super Shot in very good condition yesterday. I will develop the first roll in the evening and hope to bring this thread back to life.

Here are some test shots. My camera doesn´t focus properly at close distances. I have to play with the calibration screw a little.

I have just received one myself, needs a good clean and some seals replaced. Will post pics from test roll when I've done one. Looks like a neat camera.
