Thoughts on the GF670 lens?

I recently purchased a Fujifilm GF 670 and took it on a walkabout in Washington DC. I also brought my Leica MP along. I took images with both cameras and wrote a blog post about my experiences and the images each produced. I find the Fuji lens to be more than acceptable and the resulting negatives superb. My baselines of comparison are Leica's lenses including the 24mm Elmarit, 35 Summicron ASPH, and the 90mm Summicron ASPH. You can find it here: wp.me/ph0f6-1K

I have the C.V. Bessa III 667 version. The camera is pretty good build but just not a Leica.

In medium format I use a Yashica Mat 124-G and a Mamiya 645 pro. The Sekor lenses are pretty good but the new folder lens is better, especially up from 5,6.
Compared with my Leica (M7) and Leica glass, they have a better preformance wide open.

But at the end only the soul of the photo will juge the content. It doesn't matter which camera you are using. But the big plus is the 6x7cm format and it's portability. So maybe that's a reason to buy this camera to catch that right moment.

Expensive? Well keeping up to date in digital gear that's really expensive! BTW there is also a W.A. version available now.
