Thanks for the info. That means the harbour area will be very busy (good for photography). I'm sure we could take boat rides, but may have to line up. It changes my opinion about a meeting place though. The Snug Harbour will probably be heavily booked for lunches, so I think The Harp, just a short distance from the harbour, would be a better meeting venue after all. It's a fine pub and I can book a table for us. When we get closer to the event, I'll also send instructions on where to find free parking in Port Credit.ed1k said:Ocassionally I was in Port Credit few days ago. I picked up Port Credit Calendar of Events 2006. June 24-25 scheduled for free Discover Boating. Seems there will be a lot of people there. I hear first time of this Discover Boating. Does anyone have an experience with this event? Maybe we can take a boat? What do you think?

The Harp is a typically long, narrow pub, woody, with a good atmosphere. On the street side it has open windows and the lighting is good (iso400ish), but there's a lot of competition for those seats. At the back there's plenty of seating room, but the lighting is dim. ISO1600, Noctilux territory. The fine selection of draft refreshments, however, offsets the lighting...Trius said:Gene: What are the lighting conditions at The Harp? Should I push Tri-X to merciful levels? 😀

A couple of weeks ago bought a very nice M2 with an Elmar 50mm which I’d guess has always been on the camera. Because of a stiff winder, it’s at Kominek being serviced. The CV 25mm I’d ordered arrived on Fri., & there’s a 40mm Summicron on the way. I’ll no doubt be more than a little shutter happy when the camera gets back. I’d very much like to join the Toronto group on June 24th. Have only seen the sign to Port Credit from the 401, so any venue is ok with me. Rain or shine?
