Gene, what's the owner of the Harpe's name again? Met him a few times re store fixture work....
Mike, I'm afraid I don't know. I only know the waitresses who bring me pints :D

Dang, looks like I'm going to miss another one! Stupid work schedule, I need to surf more while I'm on the job...grumble, grumble. One of these days, I'll make it up there to meet you guys.

Best wishes to your mom, Dave, I hope everything works out for the best.

Dave: So glad you are all back. You are a big part of our clan, so we hope you can make it. Kilt optional.

Earl

My sincerest wishes, prayers, and hope for your Mothers recovery Dave.
Best regards to the Toronto chapter as I will be sailing the North Channel much of the summer and have not planned on going south anytime soon. :)

Thanks again for all the well wishes guys - it's muchly appreciated.

What's the decided date?

Mom's at Toronto Western but the prognosis is not good - decisions have been made regarding how agressive the treatment should be for her in this case. I'm ok with it, but I know the rest of the family is dealing with it in their own way. Sorry for being a bit of a downer but I know some of you may think that it's ok now that we're back home.. and it is really.. because at least she can have friends and family by her side when it's time.

Cheers
Dave

Hang in there, be strong! I tried PMing but your mailbox was full - an indication of all our best wishes, I"m sure.

Dave,

We are on for Saturday June 24th, at the harp in photogenic Port Credit, some time after lunch. It's good to hear your mom is at Toronto Western, they have the best Neuroscience Wing in the region. She is in good hands. I know where you are at mentally and it's not a nice place.

Directions for the Harp

Directions for the Harp

The next RFF meeting is on Saturday June 24 at the Harp in Port Credit. The all important directions: if you are driving, take the QEW Eastbound or Westbound, get off at Hurontario, go south to Lakeshore, then go west. The Harp is on the South side of the street half a block east of the Credit River, across the street is the Pump House Grill. Gene can enighten us on where to park for free as he is a local. Now for those taking public transit, take the GO train to Port Credit, walk south to Lakeshore and follow above instructions.

I may have to miss this one, %$#*&^% baseball tournament again, but we're not formally entered yet....
But as the last surviving member of the GHA (Greater Hamilton Area) RFF club, I was able to attend that 1812 re-enactment last weekend in Stoney Creek. Shot two rolls of colour and a roll of Tmax, hopefully something good.

Thanks Bill.

It's an easy walk from the GO Train if you're coming in that way.

For free parking, and following Bill's instructions, as you're going W on Lakeshore, go past the traffic lights at Stavebank and turn R just past the lights (before the bus shelter). The library parking lot is fairly large and is free. Just walk back to the corner of Stavebank & Lakeshore. The Harp is near the SE corner.

Alternative free parking: when you come down Hurontario (HWY10 to us oldtimers), continue past Lakeshore and turn R on Port St. Drive right to the end of Port St where it reaches Stavebank and turn L. This takes you into the parking lot for Plaus Park and the Snug Harbour restaurant. This is also free, but tends to fill up faster than the library lot. Walk back along Stavebank to Lakeshore and turn R (East) to The Harp.

Yep, I'm out, baseball again....oh well, looking forward to your photos, and there better not be 75 of that red & white lighthouse!
See you at the next one guys....
Mike
PS: And I was going to pick up the tab at the Harpe....shame, really.....

For those who can make it to Port Credit this Saturday (June 24), here's a photo of the destination.

My new Zorki 4 with J8 and J12 arrived today. Perfect timing. I'll show it off on Saturday.

I hate to say this but there are 3/4 events in the GTA this weekend, Dragon boat races; Gay Pride, Toronto Jazz, and an air show.

I might not be there.... have one for me please ;- )

Yah, I'll be at the gay pride event too. ;)

Actually my son has a Lacrosse tournament this weekend, so I'm out. But ready for next time.

Mike, Jan, Frank, sorry to hear you can't make this one. Perhaps we should have a show of hands to see how many think they can make it. I'm good for Saturday, but if this weekend is too busy for everyone, we could reschedule ...
