Alphonse de Lamartine

Please join me in this short journey through Turkey. Through the modern
cities, the ancient past and as my wife,me and my grandchildren follow the path of Jason and the Argonauts and parts of the ancient Silk Route.

Photos are once again a collaborative effort. Many images posted here are the efforts of my grandchildren aged 6.5 and 11 years,

Faris, I'm becoming a fan. More great stuff. I didn't verbalize it in the other thread but a photobook would rock with these images you've been sharing.

Tony ( I hope I got it right this time..else my apologies again ), thank you
for your encouragement.

Take care.

We watch Turkish soap operas quite often, and we want to travel to Istanbul for the food and the bazars.

Nice set of images. Turkey is wonderful, Istanbul is a jewel of a city, I've been there three times and just love it. Great city to photograph, too. A sprawling mass of wabi-sabi, interesting faces, hand-tailored clothes and clashing cultures. And a big strip of unruly water right down the middle.

Thanks for sharing your pics. Makes me want to go back, though I swore I wouldn't until/unless I can speak Turkish. Last time I was too frustrated not being able to communicate with people more.

Your images make me want to go back to Istanbul Faris. My wife and I loved It there. I hope when our 3 year old is a bit older, we will.
