Well, I am not a fan of the grainy suff, but the grain works really well here, I like this one !

an oldy...
Very "street", freezing a glance, the urban rush, dynamic, anonymous.
It's a simple photo, but it tells it all. Did this photo "happen to you" or did you realize a certain idea ?

Bertram2 : are you setting up your tripod or taking these "motion" images on the fly?
.
Yes, otherwise the necessary contrast of sharp and blurred would not come out well. It all shot with 1/2, 1/4, or 1/8.
The prob is that the intensity of blur depends on the distance. One has to have that in mind to get the intended result . I was still exercising, when I shot these.

The underlying colour concept works well ! Very nice.

Model337- I was across the street, so it was a little distance, but not too far. If I remember right, I shot it with 18-70 zoom set somewhere about 50mm. The one thing I do not like about the shot is the busy background. Maybe that adds to the flatness of the shot?
Todd, I really like both shots, especially that first one.

Bingley- I really like the color in that one. I almost wish the bicyclist was blurred though and off more to one edge of the frame. It would add a little dynamism to it.

Hi,
I;m new here,
not sure how to post and what to post
would like to get your opinion on this one
I like it a lot. Lots of interesting detail and a wide range of tones. A good capture of a fleeting moment.

Andersju, model337, bertram, nightfly -- Thanks for your comments!
@nightfly: I waited and waited, hoping a cyclist on a road bike would some speeding through, so I could try to catch a blur from speed... but no such luck that evening...

Thanks! I had gone downtown to get some lunch but my favorite Mediterranean café was closed so no falafels today! On the way back to my car I ran into a bunch of ladies with Irish wolfhounds. I just bent down and snapped this with my OM 2.Wray -- LOL! I love that capture!

Very cool shot Wray. I just love dogs in photos and the hand gestures of the two ladies is perfect. Really nice.

Well, I spent last weekend in Seville, at the start of "Semana Santa", or Holy Week. From a street photographer's point of view it was a "target rich environment" - here are my favourites.
