I like this kind of backpack, top section for day hikes or whatever/personals and another section for the cameras. Is there any other backpacks like this? Maybe cheaper?

I'm a big fan of Timbuk2's products. I own at least 8 bags now but not this one. However I am sure it's top notch quality.

I guess the trick here is to figure out if the layout is right for your gear and if its comfortable for you to carry. Their customer service is excellent and they have no problems exchanging gear and they replace it for life if something happens.

I'm sure there are alternatives but I don't know of any others as I use their Sneak and Snoop insert in my bags most the time.

I can tell you this, you buy it and unless you lose it, you will have it for life.

I have been using Timbuktu stuff for a very long time. My favorite brand as well. I don't use backpacks normally any longer. Mainly sling bags and their belt pouch that I use for my iPhone. I also have their carry on flight bag. It is really well built.

To me, these kind of bags just say ROB ME! And they look quite dorky IMO. Unless you are taking it out in the wilderness/desert etc. For anything urban, or traveling I am a big fan of just taking a simple collegiate backpack like an Eastpak and just putting a nice camera insert in it. Again, just my opinion.

In the San Francisco Bay Area u c them a lot. Both sexes use them. I have seen some women w/ them as well..
