My views were not a reaction to the number of comments, but to the number of actual viewings in relation to the number of members we are supposed to have.
Personally I only tend to comment on the composition and impact of a picture. I am very reluctant to comment on colour balance,contrast or sharpness, this is as a result of viewing my own pictures on other peoples monitors and being surprised/shocked by the difference in the apearance of the same picture between various VDUs, particularly laptops. My own monitor is calibrated to give, as far as is possible, the same result as my printer, as I print out what I consider my worthwhile pictures.
I have been involved as a judge in photo-club competitions for many years, but there we are viewing the actual prints/slides. Most judges I have met refuse to judge pictures shown by way of a digital projector.🙄
