Time to service?

My M9 crossed the 10.000 shutter-actions mark.
Time for service? And where would you get that job done. Is the importer always the best choice?

It doesn't need service based on that number. You need a better reason. 🙂

Corect. Unless there are other compelling reasons such as a misaligned RF, I would leave alone.

My M8 is at 19923 frames and I sure as hell aren't planning to have the shutter serviced ever. These things are supposed to be good for about 150k shots.

Get it serviced when it reaches 10,002. It may not reach 10,003. 😀

Incidentally, how old is your M9?

The fewer times cameras are taken apart the better, 10,000 frames is nothing for a modern camera. Unless something is broken I would leave it alone.
