Hey all. So the internet keeps saying there are different dev times for Tri-X pan (old Tri-X) and 400TX (new Tri-X), but never says what the old times were... I have an exposed roll taking up space in my freezer.

Anyone have a chart for the old Tri-X? Bonus points if anyone can give me times for Ilfosol-3 (which maybe didn't even exist at the time of old Tri-X?)

Do you use the Massive Development Chart (google it)? Whenever I'm not sure about things like this, I always go there.

Massive Dev doesn't seem to differentiate between old and new Tri-X, just 400TX and 320TX. The Massive Dev times are what I've been using for all my modern Tri-X.

I think the times were the same. I've always used D76 for 10 min. at 68 deg. If you're shooting old tri-x, I'd do some testing as the film is old-ish.

The times are close enough that you can just use the published time and then tweak from there. Published times are supposed to be a starting point anyway :).
