TLR 'experience' with 35 SLR

Couple of more options....

Yashica 635 with 35mm kit in it. 80mm and shoot in portrait layout.

Bolsey Model C 44mm and shoots in Landscape. It also has a rangefinder and viewfinder for when you don't want to use the TLR.

The Bolsey is a tiny little thing....

It is apparently easy to shoot 35mm in a Yashica 44 which is another tiny little TLR but not as small as the Bolsey. Will be trying that soon.

None of these have the advantages of the 35 SLR/wide lens/RA finder rig I listed in my OP; see again. Try shooting verticals with the Bolsey or horizontals with the Yashica - not fun!

Here's the ME Super w Refconverter in belt holster. Can also hold Oly OM-2n.

Here it is in the belt hoster.

Agreed about the Yashica, not fun trying to shoot landscape.

Verticals are actually fairly easy with the Bolsey. It is small enough that just rotating your body 90 degrees to the subject works fine. That adds to your idea of the image not just being framed in front of you. And of course verticals are even easier with the Bolsey if you use the rangefinder and viewfinder built into it. Those are the two windows on the right.

It was a very good idea for Bolsey to retain the view/rangefinders on the TLR version.

There are 35mm SLR cameras (like Miranda's) with WLF. They offer a decent selection of glasses. Bought a WLF for them for $10 or so.

You could use the finder more suitable for your shot. Miranda's cameras/lens are cheap and there is a Tamron adaptall 2 for them so it opens more doors for zooms.

Not that heavy, robust, manual cameras.

Just my 2 cents.
