I've got a bad case of GAS and I need some help so that it doesnt come back over this particular problem... for a while at least.
I've got the opertunity to pick up either a Yashica 124G or a Rolleicord Vb for basically the same price. Here's the condition of each, both are in working order, lens's good etc except for a few minor quirks each
Rollei - missing the logo decal on the top of the viewfinder cover
- minor paint scratches on the back (happens with any used TLR)
- sticky sports finder (I never plan on using this anyways but it has to be mentioned)
Yashica - some corrosion in the battery box (plan on using a hand held meter anyways)
- dent on the bottom-back (wouldnt affect operation but might be indicitive of how well it was cared for)
any thoughts? The big advantage of the Yashica is the film advance lever.. while the advantage of the Rollei is well.. its a Rollei.. the Leica of its genre (oooh.. a Leica TLR.. now there's a happy thought 🙂 and the Rollei deffinately seems to be of more solid construction.
