TMY-2 @ EI 640.. anyone?

I want to find a replacement for my dwindling supply of Neopan 1600 in 35mm. I've tried Rodinal/Xtol. Does anyone have any suggestions for time/temperature in TMax Developer? The MDC suggest 8min 25 sec. @ 24 degrees. Any Samples?

Check Kodak's specs for this film (should be available on-line). I recall that for the TMY-2, shooting at 400 or 800, development times do not change.

Yes, this is where the MDC derived the times posted. I'm a bit confused as to why they only give times for 75 degrees (24C). I thought that raising the temperature increased grain.

24C was the normal process temperature for rapid, high volume laboratory processing of B&W film. Grain increases with some films and developers, but these labs, at least historically, were mostly concerned about volume and time rather than quality. In nitrogen-burst dip and dunk replenishment systems very short times can still be achievable without uneven development.

I meant to look online for Kodak's publication F-4043:

It lists several times/temps for T-Max, Xtol, D-76, etc., etc. I've only shot TMY-2 at 400 and developed in xtol (limited experience), with good results. If you want, I'll see if I an dig up some samples.

Thanks... I've gone the XTOL route.. like XTOL/Rodinal combination... but just purchased 5 gallons of TMax Developer.

I tend to use TMY-2 at EI 320. It does however push rather well, 800 is no problem whatsoever, 1600 works too, but then grain does become rather intrusive.
