I'm going old barn diving. Driving through the wheat fields I spotted an old, collapsing barn:
After last weeks find of the old 1940s truck with the 3-digit phone number I'm definitely moving up.

Charge up the battery and I'll bet it runs!
Nice pics - gotta love that low-angle sunlight.

Thanks Chris, it was a beautiful day in the fields today. I forgot to wear my orange vest again though. Everywhere I went there were deer hunters. One stopped me and said I should wear a vest walking in the fields so they don't shoot me.
It's funny, last week before deer season started I saw deer every day. Now that the season is on I haven't see one. Go deer!!!!

Nice shots, Michael. Also, you should know that there's a good chance that the older truck is probably worth more than this Mercedes. Guys go crazy over older, clean, pre-1950 American pickups.
I'm not sure I'd feel to safe walking in fields where hunters are willing to shoot at things just because they aren't wearing orange, however. I've always been taught to shoot only at something that you can identify without a doubt. Apparently that message isn't communicated to everyone...
Keep shooting, Michael. Put that M3 to good use!

Fascinating, that car has had to been in that barn for some time. My hometown
is Sandpoint Idaho, and that plate is Latah county (Lewiston area?) and I haven't
seen those plates since the 80's if memory serves.

Thanks Danny, I have a picture of that truck, it's in wonderful shape. I went back to it today and it's still there. I would bet no one even remembers it's in there.
I think I'm going to try and find an owner and buy it. I have my vest but keep forgetting to put it in the truck. I know I need it because I'm always tramping around some way out of the way places.

Hi Bill and welcome to RFF. I'm not sure this is OK here but if you're feeling homesick for the Palouse area look here:

I just realized something, Jimmy Hoffa could be in that Mercedes.

Thanks, Michael, appreciate this link! Gotta tell you though, I went to University of
Idaho, 68-71 and Wasu was our arch enemy.
Some great shots in this portfolio, did you use the D200 for most of them?
I think I'm running really close to hijacking your thread, but agree the above shots
are nice.

Bill

Thanks Bill, I'm a supporter of both UofI and WSU except when they play each other. The UofI campus is much prettier to photograph. I shot some winter stuff there with my Hasseblad once.
Here lately I've been using the D200 a lot but I've also started shooting more and more with an M3.
