I watched it the other day. Thanks for the link. Papageorge is one of the last from a vanishing breed. He's a documentarian in the traditional sense, yet many of his students from the Yale MFA programme have shot in a completely different direction. That's probably down to Gregory Crewdson's involvement with the programme. Interesting also, he's closely connected with the NY school of photography of the 60s but his first words and highest praise is for Cartier-Bresson.
As for the video, I was surprised to see it's a Greek production. (Papageorge is a second generation Greek-American.) I 've seen some time ago in late night tv a documentary ("Greektown") about the lives of present-day Greek-Americans by the same director and a section was dedicated to Costa Manos. Can't find a link to the video but it's well worth watching for some insight on Manos' work/life if you come across it.
