Too cheap to be a good deal?

The thickness should be 1.00mm as this is the difference in the base flange distance of the LTM and M specs. But it is not the difference from let's say 1.01 to 0.99mm that could be an issue. It's the position and precision of the screwmount, and the exactness of the bayonet and the frameline selection shape that make a much bigger impact if an adapter works well or not.

As long as its between 11 and 1, or even 10 and 2, it's abolutely no matter, thats only a 1/12th of a millimeter tolerance compared to 12.

That does make a difference, though, when you use lenses with a rectangular hood, because if that isn't vaguely horizontal you might get diagonal vignetting along the upper and lower border of the frame.. This only happens if the hood to be quite "tight", though.

With square hoods it's definitely different, agree, same for the 15mm Heliar with the inbuilt "hood" wings. Roland (Ferider) has once posted a tutorial here how to solve this issue with CV lenses.

The thickness of the adapter and the index position have both the same effect on sharpness - they displace the optics off the perfect focal distance. An index point at 6 o'clock means 0.5mm displacement (as the LTM thread has 1mm depth per rotation). But I cannot imagine an adapter to be so worn that he lost half a mmm of material - more likely is the bayonet mount has gotten tolerance, or the mount got slightly twisted.

I had a set of Chinese adapters once, and they were so poorly made that the rangefinder roller on both my Bessa and Leica hung up on a small 'hump' on the inner ring, and allowed coupling up to 1.2m or so only.

I would not buying these. False economy, especially when the Voigtlanders are available for just a bit more.

Two things: Some lenses--even Leica lenses--aren't meant to, or don't, screw in and seat with the distance marker at 12:00 M. I would think that, even if the lens seated deeper than normal, the result would be that it would focus accurately, but would go a bit past infinity--right?

Also--I've had ggod luck with the Ukranian adapters made by DVD.
