Too good to be true?

Doesn't hurt to check out if you are close by. I would take some stuff with me to evaluate a few photos on the spot.

I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole... For that price - if the seller is not an utter idiot it is either a scam or stolen.

Scam, stolen or listed price incorrectly. If you have the ability to personally meet with this seller at a safe location that would be an option. If he says no then you can be certain that the seller is disreputable. Under these circumstances DONT EVER GO TO THEIR HOUSE!

No- but if you have the money with you to pay the camera, it's sure that you'll leave without the money but also without the camera. And you'll be the next star on Crimewatch...:( (If you have that on TV in Canada)

Right now I can buy a Mamiya zd with 3 lenses for 2000 euro, a mint m8 for 800 euro, a Lenovo w510 for 800 euro, the list is endless.

As Jaapv said wouldn't touch it with a rather long pole, if you must see this item insist on meeting in a cafe or place you know and bring a friend.

Better safe than sorry.

I have some prime real estate in Brooklyn, complete with bridge, that you may be interested in.

I have a bridge already...do you have something without a bridge...???;)
Why not go check it out just bring a couple of really big guys with you...

here's the scam. I emailed the guy and said I'd buy it via Paypal. He's in a different city but posted his ad on multiple craigslist sites.

"Hi again,
I believe that you are a honest guy and I believe that you are a serious buyer, but I will only do this in my way. I usually don't use the internet to sell or to buy anything. I like face to face deals, but if that is not possible I will only do this in my way. I don't have email banking available, and honestly I don't trust any form of internet payment. I prefer the old postal money orders or the bank certified checks. Here is my name and address where you can mail the money order, if you decide to buy the camera: Michael Rxxxxx; 42 xxxxxx xxxxx. Unit xxxx, Toronto, ON xxx xxx. There is no problem if you don't want to buy it anymore. Just let me know so that I can find another buyer.
Thanks,
Michael
P.S: If the camera is not exactly as described, I accept to be returned to me. But I assure you that this wont be necessary.
