R.I.P. 1997-2006
So after I realized I had twice commented on the same photo, five days apart, and was about to post a 3rd comment, I decided it was time to start a new "top 5" thread.
The photo in question is
Allen's "untitled 11" which everytime I look at it I find something else interesting. Aside from just being a visually impressive picture, I realize now that it was shot in Tokyo, which adds a significant socio/ethno commentary to it - these huge pictures of pretty, sterile, "perfect" blond caucasians metaphorically exerting pressure on the small asian family. In the last week or so, Allen has posted a massively impressive portfolio of images. In one sense I wish he'd stop coz I'm getting an inferiority complex!
I love Peter's "Cyclist 2" for the movement that he captured in this photo. The framing and the composition are so fluid I get the sensation that I'm watching a movie.
sfault's "This Way" wins the "what could this possibly mean" category.
Borghesia's 10_f_Klein captures an interesting moment of a group of people such that you could be inspired to write a soap opera type script of what happened before and what will happen after based on the expressions and jester of the subjects.
And I like Roman's "Self Portrait" because I've played with photographing garden balls but never did a well as Roman did.
And as with everyweek, I could probably pick two dozen great photographs, but I just don't have to time to do that many pictures justice.

Tough decision - here are some of my faves from the last 7 days:
'Nurse removing IV plug' http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/3715/password//sort/1/cat/500/page/1
is my absolute fave - this is really printworthy for a reportage in a magazine... (I also like this one:
