The reason: When the Pentax LX was released, I got hold of a pair of them and quickly built a system around them, having sold off my Canon system to help pay for all this. On paper, the LX wrapped up my favorite features of several cameras and put them in a body marginally bigger than an Olympus OM. Whee!
But...you know the joke about pioneers? Less than two months later, I got the equivalent of two arrows in the back when both my LX bodies packed up, victims of what was then a mysterious mirror-box mechanics problem. Pentax' techs couldn't nail the problem (and, believe me, they tried...I got true VIP treatment from them at the time). Ultimately, I gave up, trading the whole lot for a pair of (used) F3 bodies and an MD-4 motor.
While I don't harbor any ill will toward Pentax, that little adventure took a lot out of me. So, for this poll, the LX is off the list.
