my rd1 arrived in toronto and the new owner found the finder allignment to be out.
i had set it and tested it previously so i know it was ok so i am assuming the trip was a bit rough.

i remember dave talking about a good local tech guy...

i want to help out the new owner and get this all fixed up asap...anyone know someone who could do a quick but through allignment?

Athough not a rangefinder, I just had my OM2 serviced at Sun Camera and was satisfied with their service. I am sure they would be able to handle a rf alignment. They are at 2150 Steeles Ave W (905) 669-6355

I had David Yau adjust the focusing on my Epson in Toronto, and was very pleased with his work. He also fixed the wobble on my CV 35 2.5. He did encourage me to get a Leica though:) (And truthfully the M9 is quicker and surer to focus.)

I'm the guy with the R-D1 in question and I just spoke with David. A very nice guy, said he wasn't sure because he didn't have replacement parts, but that he had done one before ( ^ ) and that he would give it a shot.

Sevres, would you mind PMing me the cost of the adjustment?
