Canada Toronto get together Oct 27th?

Randy, thanks for the hospitality. You got a fine hip shot of the woman waiting for the TTC, the Gerrard rain shot is first rate. I wish I had taken it. I wondered how you got to Gerrard. Not eveyone would think of it if they were visitors. I forgot Guy lives over there. Bill took you to one of his favourite spots in Kensington for coffee.

Did the wind affect your departure?

Thanks for your, and everyone else's, hospitality (particularly Guy's who was nice enough to play tourguide and dinner host). Guy took me all over the city - we covered some miles in kind of a planes, trains and automobiles way - literally it was subway rides, streetcars, and even in Guy's car for a quick tour of The Beaches and ride back to my hotel. Guy even deserves credit for the Gerrard rain shot as it was his comment about taking some reflective rain shots that made me think to even do it.

But thanks again to all of you for taking the time to meet for lunch and hang out for part of the afternoon. You guys are lucky to have such a nice group of rangefinder camera fans to hang with and to be in such a beautiful city with so many photo opportunities.

As for wind on Saturday morning, I left so early that it never affected me. Cab ride from my hotel at 5:30 in the morning for a 7 something flight out. Had a great time in Toronto but I have to admit to being happy to feel the warmth and sunshine when I landed back in California. Guess I'm just spoiled!

Wow Randy, nice stuff. Hope to meet you next time.
I should have went with you guys.....no fish, just rain, wind, waves, and sleet. While you guys were happily taking exposures I almost died of exposure.
M3's safe, but the weather was so bad couldn't use it much.
Next time, coffee and cognac with you guys.
Mike

Glad you enjoyed T.O. & got some good photos - despite the weather. Just point out to your Bay Area friends that the weather here in Oct. isn't usually like what you saw. Not balmy, but, um, (scratches head) unpredictable. Today was sunny & 12 degrees (forgot what that is on the old scale - milder than what you got).

Guy

Yeah, the timing and the, er, ah, unpredictability, were apparent. Thursday, when I was stuck indoors in meetings all day, the weather was gorgeous - sunny and comfortably warm. Friday was a different story in that it was overcast all day and kept sprinkling on and off all afternoon and this thin-blooded Californian definitely felt the cold. Still, I got to see a lot of the city and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to a return trip sometime in the Spring.

Always late with photo posts & these are cheap lab scans, T400CN. That's the last time I get the cheap scans; did it this time because I was sure there weren't many good shots on the roll. Got that right, now working on getting the photos right.

Hey, those are alright! Not too sure about that bald guy on the right in the first photo, however...😛

So, post more if you got'em!

Sorry Randy, they were so bad I dumped them off the hard drive. The coffee shop was a dark grainy cave, a few guys pointing old fashioned cameras into a starkly bright window at startled passersby. As in your gallery shot...
