I guess you sought a subdued tonality, but on my monitor it's a bit dull, dare I say even muddy. The sky and the CN Tower are OK, but the trees have no life in them (they're simply one shade of gray). Same with the iron fence along the right side. I'd dodge the guy a bit in order to make him stand out.

Compositionally, it's certainly well organized, but overall it leaves me indifferent. I feel this image doesn't measure up to those you've posted in your RFf gallery.

Good composition, especially with the repeating pattern of the street lamps. I like how you've included a person in the photo. "If there's no person there's no photo" I was taught!
I think it could benefit from more contrast in the bottom third of the frame.

Well, I for one really, really like this, including the tonality. Having gotten up early many a cold, dull winter morning in T-Dot, I can say this was pretty visceral for me. (Could be late afternoon, as well ... same winter [gawd, when will it end!] feel.)

The smoke/water vapour obscuring the CT building is very cool, and it does appear that there is a plane between the CT building and the CN tower.

The line of street lamps is exquisite. Really well done.

This was a late afternoon shot during winter and Trius put it really well into words on how winter in Toronto can feel sometimes.
