We have that idiotic G-20 summit in town in late September with hordes of moronic loser protesters who follow the G-20 leaders around the world like a bunch of pathetic groupies.

What shall I wear -- I mean bring?

With the date nearing, I went into my closet and pulled out my film cameras. I confess that I have not used most of them in some time. (I shoot with a Nikon DSLR). However, I did shoot a jazz session with my IIIf last year.

I must say the old machines felt good. Nothing like a click of a Barnack Leica or moving the crank on the Rollei..... and the Rollei35 -- so neat and compact. (I used to have a Contax T3 but never got used to it so I sold it to an RFF member.)

Question is what shall I bring to the shoot? (Now I know how women feel when deciding what to wear :)) )

Obviously, I am not going to bring a suitcase full of cameras. I originally thought I would bring only the Rollei35, a small flash and a meter. But now I am thinking of bringing the Rollei 3.5 MX as well, maybe with the Rolleikin installed.

I will leave my two Leicas -- a IIIB and a IIIF at home. I don't feel like cutting the ends of the film to load them.

I won't even mention the CanonEF SLR from the mid-seventies. Also lovely but not in the spirit of the meet.

So, I am leaning to a very small bag with the two Rolleis -- the 35 and the MX, 3.5 Tessar.

Anyone else face such a dilemna?
 
Bring whatever you feel like - it's rare that we actually spend time "shooting" - (other than shooting the breeze that is *yuk yuk yuk*)

I may bring my D700; and if I still have the 50mm f1.2 at that time, I'll bring that too :)

I plan to be there. BTW, anyone interested in purchasing my black Bessa T? If so contact me offline and we can discuss. Also have CV 15 and 21mm lenses for it, and VF's, if anyone's interested.

Yup, I've sold out to the evil empire of digital photography :)
