trade?

It was the Sony menus of the NEX-7 that drove me around the bend and headed me towards the X-Pro1 so my answer would be no.

As good as the RX1 obviously is it is still a one trick pony of a camera with having a fixed lens. Far too much (IMHO) is put on a camera being "so-called" full frame anyway. If you like the IQ and abilities of an APS sensor camera why even feel the need to change?

The swap I might understand would be the X100 for an RX1 - that would make far more sense. :)

used xpro1 are plummeting in the 800$ range around here, xpro2 maybe soon? after that, prices drop even more,

if you think like this, for 1800.- you're getting an almost new RX-1, one of the best cameras on the market right now, if you ever wanted to try one, now's the time, and you keep the great XE-1 for that fuji-business..

the deal is dead.
woke up to an early email saying the rx1 is now on ebay, listed to sell.
no longer interested in the trade.

Plus ONE.

Just as an FYI - the menus are more sane, thank goodness. They are closer to normal, I have been told more like their dslr menus. If I remember correctly the rx1 menus are similar to rx100. I have a nex5n which I still keep around but I don't use much these days.

i loved the little rx100...menus can be conquered...

for those that might be interested...i was about 80% ready to do the deal.

Joe, personnally I'd go for the X100S over the RX1. Ergonomics of the X100S are way better, viewfinder is superb. Image quality... not enough of a difference to bother with in my opinion.

you are likely right...
but i don't always move in the direction of 'better' but more in the direction of 'different'.
i just want to try that rx1 and see what it's like.
i tried the x100 and loved it and so i assume the x100s can only be better.

I really don't get the talk about the Sony Menu. Pretty simple for me because I barely ever go into the menus. Use exterior buttons and occasionally the Fn button.

only have the X-E1 but wouldn't trade against the RX1 since I want to be able to use my set of mostly Leica lenses - and love manual focussing
