Transit time from Canada (BC) to U.S.?

Just for the record, I mailed some pieces last friday in a padded envelope, sent regular air letter, they reached Ohio today. That is one week.

I wish all my shipments were so fast ! Both ways !

:bang:

Frank,
Thank you very much for going out of your way and trying, I truly appreciate it a lot. This is the answer I figured you'd get, because they can't admit to what they really did, or they'd sound stupid. Bottom line, everyone, is they REFUSED TO ALLOW me to purchase insurance, so it was never an option for me, so I figured THEY'RE taking the risk then.

They also stated they'd ship FROM the US, and delivery would be in 2-3 days (their estimate, not mine) and they did not ship from the US, but from canada, so they could blame "US Customs" for a month... so they're not such big shots for finally refunding my payment 30 days after I made it. (And after refusing to do so several times).

Just an aside, I ordered a Canon EF from henry's of Toronto. They got the MO on the 26th and I got the camera today
Yes, I know we can't draw any conclusions from one deal to the next, because, who really can explain custom's policies, but during this above ordeal, I won a small auction (camera, of course) from ebay.uk and that seller had it in my hands five days later. I know you have to just hit the air and truck schedules just right, but that was still awesome. I'm also waiting for something from Cameta, maybe 30 miles east of my house, and that is scheduled for delivery Monday, six days after sending payment, which makes the 5-day England-USA delivery time really amazing.

Most important , you have broken Ebays rules by placing personal info in a chat board.
The bidder was fully refunded on the item, the personal info needs to be removed from this chat board. We have given them a time frame to have this info removed or they can be suspended from Ebay

MTF, did you join this forum just to whine about your eBay transaction? 🙁

I've dealt with this member of RFF he is courteous, responsive and straightforward. I think if you want to join RFF and make your first comment here you should clearly and unequivocally respond to the points he raised.

• regarding your ebay posting stating your mailing process from the USA
• provide the parcel tracking number
• your response about an ebay typo and your failure to correct is not the purchasers issue it is yours
• the insurance that was not provided for the parcel at your direction leaves you accountable for a minimum that Canada Post automatically insures

If there was a refund it should not be difficult for you to demonstrate. You are a business and have records. Someone cannot be threatened for attempting to clarify and confirm business terms that have been posted on the net. I’m sure you, Ebay and the purchaser would never dispute this. So put it on the table.

Maybe you want to remove your post so we don’t remember this type of retailing practice.

Cheers,

Instead of trying to squelch freedom of speech, why don't you mediate the situation to the buyers satisfaction.

"fail to deliver items purchased from you, unless the buyer fails to meet the posted terms, or you cannot authenticate the buyer's identity;"

Did you read that rule while you were at it?

There is also a rule about leaving negative feedback for retaliation.

I think a lot of people reading this thread will certainly avoid mtfman.

To answer the original question, It has taken 3~4 weeks for items shipped global priority to reach me from Canada. On those two occasions, much longer than their counterpart in a trade to reach Canada.

I'll take my chances with any ebay "investigation". The facts as to the way I was treated, then retaliated against, speak for themselves. And now I'm receiving several longish, threatening messages from mtfman (thru the ebay message service, which is a good thing, ebay can see just what he's trying to do to me) I posted nothing untruthful, and ebay has a record of everything that went between us which proves that.

Many thanks to Frank, Jan, Brian, Nick and all for your support.

I think the vendor has a problem coming .... and it won't be you George.. it'll probably be the retail conduit he's using to sell thru that will be asking the tough questions. They cannot permit these retailing practices to persist. It stigmatizes their reputation and credibility.

Perhaps the seller's 3 locations will one day be reduced to ashes. 😎

PS What do you expect from Frasier Valley trash? Sorry I didn't warn you about that.

Oh, and next time you buy something from around here, get me to pick it up for you. It'll give me something to do.
Thank you again, Frank. You've already gone above and beyond for me in trying to mediate the matter with them. Likewise, please don't hesitate to call on me if there's anything I can do for you from "down here". That same offer goes for any of you guys/gals. This is a terrific, intelligent, kind hearted group we have here.
