Traveling light and then facing challenges

Hi. I will post images soon from the trip and of the equipment. I used what I had in my posession, so I did not want to buy new cameras or lenses.

If you do buy new equipment you do indeed lighten up your wallet -- maybe not desirable.
My perception (ok, still a cash strapped young one) is that the 500-1000 that new equipment can cost is quite long way useful instead for the trip.

Can these universal chargers be used with cameras batteries? Different shapes, sizes, contacts, etc. Sorry if this is a dumb question, I have much to learn about batteries.

Yes! Just make sure the volts specified on your battery is within the range specified on the charger and you should be good. There's usually a slide using a spring or a friction device to clamp your battery firmly into the charger regardless of its size, then a pair of sliding pins you move to align with the + and - terminals on your battery. Sometimes a volt selector switch or sometimes that's just done automatically. Once your battery is clamped down and the pins are aligned you plug it in and charge away.

Still, I enjoy taking photos with my phone.
It feels different when you are actually "there" and then you take a panorama shot discreetly.

Those are some great pictures, phone or not. That panorama of all the people taking pictures with their phones is hilarious.

It got a little "boring" after a few days in the same place, but I wanted to try out staying 10 days in the same town. We drove around the neighboring villages and towns, which were beautiful in all aspects. Robert helped out with some tips. Thanks!
