There is an USB adapter for the thing, and an SD card reader. Check the Apple Store.
Hiding does not really help 😉 In the past I had rolls of exposed film stolen from a closed suitcase, among dirty washing....🙄I can see how that may be true. But they are easier to hide than a harddrive no?

Your drive (16 Gb is far too small btw) is the backup for your cards, but your cards are the backup for the drive. Only delete your files after you have uploaded -and backed them up- on your computer back home.
Please don't do that. It is not a backup if you format the cards.I will try to download each night all photos to an external drive, followed by formatting the memory cards in the M9.
