Tri-X in microphen - what agitation?

Hi,

Im about to develop Tri-x@1600 in Microphen. This is my first try, so Im not sure about agitation. Ilfords fact sheet suggests its usuall 10sec every minute, but wouldnt it be far to much? Anyone with own experience?

For 1600, I do Microphen 1+0 (stock) for 16:00, 30s initial and 10s every 3 minutes. Work like a charm for me.

On rare occasions I push TX up to 1600 I do it as Ilford suggests.

One thing - I have never had any streaking or uneven development with 10s every 3 minutes. But one person did, but he was using 5s every 3 minutes.

So if you _really_ care about these images, then perhaps try a little more frequent than every 3 minutes. I did testing first and found my method effective.
