TheHub, it took me a while to get HC-110h times perfect, too, but when I did I really liked it. TMax100 seemed flat until I finally got the right time, and then TMax100 just popped. The same thing happened with Tri-X but the time range for good results was greater.
Some people (Micheal Covington included) say the TMax100 has a steep toe or short toe or maybe it's a long toe (when developed in HC-110), I can't remember, but that means the shadow separation isn't as great as with an S-Curve developer. I am at present doing a side by side test with HC-110h and Rodinal to see if there really is a visual difference in the shadow area.
