Hi there,

Every shot I seem to take with my g2 seems to look properly composited through the viewfinder but it seems every time I get my rolls developed the subject is always slightly to the left of centre.

I would really appreciate some help!

Check the negs to see if what's on there reflects your framing...could be the lab is adjusting the image to fit their print size format...
Also try shooting an image that fits tightly within your camera's frame lines, check your negs to see if it's all there...if not then adjust your framing while shooting to reflect how far it's off...

If you are shooting slides, instead of negs, unmount the slides to check to see if they are properly centered in the mounts.

Typical cardboard slide mount mask the 24x36mm image to approx 22x34mm or, at best, 23x35mm and high speed machine mounting never centers the image perfectly. Prints from negs also mask the image significantly. Borderless 4x6 prints match the neg's aspect ratio well but generally reproduce an area about 21x32mm to 22x33mm. Again, centering is never perfect.

Thanks for the help guys.

I checked the negs and the subject is off centre in them as well. I am shooting negs though not slides :S
